Shorty's is a skateboard company founded in 1992 in Santa Barbara, California, by Tony Buyalos. The company started by producing skateboard hardware like bolts and bearings, eventually expanding into skateboard decks and accessories. In the mid-1990s, Shorty's ventured into snowboarding, releasing a snowboard video in 1996 that featured riders such as Devun Walsh, Chris Brown, Kevin Young, and Dionne Delesalle. Although their snowboard line lasted only a few seasons, it made a significant impact on the snowboarding community.

Recently, Shorty's Snowboards is making a comeback, with Devun Walsh bringing the brand back and reigniting its legacy in the snowboarding world. Today, Shorty's continues to offer skateboard hardware, reissued classic models, and is once again making waves in both the skateboarding and snowboarding industries.

In the mid 90’s Shorty’s Snowboards took the best of skateboarding and translated it to the snow. There were the popsicle stick, quick kick, twin tip shapes, iconic team videos like Young, Brown, Walsh,and a roster of riders who made style paramount on the slopes and mayhem mandatory off it. Devun Walsh was the main draw with his nuanced approach to backcountry freestyle where regular and switch were synonymous and equally stylish. Devun’s allure would continue to grow for decades to come, and remain the benchmark for what tricks should look like when done properly into pow.
