🛹 From Skate to Snow: The Shorty’s Story

Founded in 1992 by Tony Buyalos in Santa Barbara, CaliforniaShorty’s quickly became one of the most influential brands in skateboarding. Known for its bold graphics, creative marketing, and stacked team featuring Chad MuskaSteve Olson, and Toan Nguyen, Shorty’s defined the style, sound, and spirit of 90s skate culture. Tony’s vision was simple — to build a brand by skaters, for skaters — and that authentic energy helped Shorty’s become a global name recognized for pushing boundaries both on and off the board.

As snowboarding exploded in the mid-’90s, Shorty’s brought that same fearless attitude to the mountains. Under Tony’s direction and with a powerhouse team led by Devun WalshChris BrownKevin Young, and Dionne DelesalleShorty’s Snowboards combined skate-inspired design with high-performance construction. The result was a line of boards that captured the freedom and creativity of skateboarding — built for riders who saw no limits between concrete and snow.
